OOC: Miranna will be at D 23, just on our side of the door- ready to move in immediately if things go wrong. I'd guess any cry from Chey, or any sign of active resistance, would be the trigger.

The door slides open... not as quietly as you might like. As Chey walks into the next room she hears a yelp of surprise. A fat goblin in leather armor is in the process of leaping out of a filthy bed. He pushes open the tattered curtains surrounding his "room" and runs off, screaming as he does so. A newly revealed goblin follows slowly, taking the time to throw a javelin at Chey. The crude spear grazes her neck, and the goblin chuckles in satisfaction. He stops laughing when he looks past the tiefling and sees the corridor is filled with enemies.

Chey failed her stealth check, so Malgrim wakes and stands up as she enters. He spends his turn moving to the west (you last saw him in -A, 20).

Warrior 89 moves from -A, 25 to -A, 20. When goblin warriors move more than 4 squares, they deal an additional d6 damage with their ranged attacks, a trait Warrior 89 attempts to take advantage of against Chey. Hits AC 20 for 9 damage.

Yup, that's it. I only have two guys this encounter. Honest...[/sblock]

"I'll handle this one!," Miranna rasped as she moved forward to face the goblin warrior. "Somebody try to slow the other one down..." Evn though her swing went wide, a few glittering sparks of lightning wreathed the goblin's head for a moment or two.

Growling at the javelin throwing goblin, Chey stalks through the curtains and into the room, wiping the blood from her neck and sluicing it on the flagstones as shadows begin to cling to her.
"I am with you Miranna, you do not hit a lady like that and get away with it. By the Midnight Court, You will not have the chance to do it again!" she hisses, then turns her raised rod as though it were a key in a lock. The horned warlock reaches into the greenskin's mind and wrests her presence from it.
