The Jade Frontier, part 2 (DM: THB, Judge: Lord Sessadore)

I can use my arcane powers to pull or push the door open, although I believe that would only alert the goblins to our presence. If we want to surprise them, I suggest doing it the old fashioned way - rushing through the door with a large mailed servant of Palladys at the lead! Yishim smiles at Brenwar as he says this. But I'll leave it to you to decide.
[sblock=OOC]I can use Mage Hand to pull or push the door, I think within 5 squares.[/sblock]

"I'm not saying that a surprise frontal assault would not work, but doing it that way gives them the advantage of bottlenecking us at the doorway, if we can lure them out into this antechamber, we could have them surrounded before the attack even begins. Ultimately though, I will agree with whatever the group decides."

Sounds as if the dagger and rope seems best for surprise, then, Firete says, looping the rope around the dagger and tying it securely, pulling it to test the knot. I guess, one advantage of this is, if the dagger does not strike true, it may make enough noise to alert whatever is behind that door and they'll come blundering out so we can hit them. She holds her breath and then throws the dagger at the door, the rope streaming out behind it in a tail.

[sblock=Dagger at door] 1d20+3=16 Dagger damage (1d4+3=5)[/sblock]

OOC: 2Heads, can we see a map of the chamber to position ourselves before the door opens please? Also, did looking at the stain with a sunrod provide any new info

[sblock=OOC]Indeed, and if we can attack from hiding of any kind then we can pounce once a couple of them are through the door, then bottleneck the rest, taking them down as they come through the door.[/sblock]

OOC: [sblock] Obviously, the idea would be to have Miranna and Brenwar take the front rank and block the hall, with the others behind them throwing spells. We'll have to see what the area actually looks like (and what kind of response our enemies have) before we finalize ideas though. [/sblock]
