The Jade Frontier, part 2 (DM: THB, Judge: Lord Sessadore)

Brenwar stops his contemplating of the spirit's curse with a shake and smile. He braces his shoulder against the sarcophagus lending his strength to the opening effort.

The lid slides off the sarcophagus and falls to the ground with a crash. Inside there is a suit of finely made plate. It is made of a dark gray metal, and it is decorated by designs of entwined silver and green serpentine dragons. There is no evidence of Takeshi's body, although there is a good deal of powdery dust, like that which covers this room. Strangely, none of the dust is touching the armor, allowing it to gleam in the light of Yishim's sunrod.

[sblock=Translation]A suit of Rimefire Plate +2, because clearly I think Brenwar's AC is too low...[/sblock]

"Truly Palladys has blessed me, this will be much better then my old plate. Though I don't imagine it will make jumping those runes any easier for me."

Snazzy, I'll update Brenwar's sheet tomorrow or saturday

We can't sit on Tenser's Floating disk and go across, can we?

*Sigh* I don't see why not. For your convenience, here is the "maze" as you've seen it.[/sblock]

[sblock=Firete]Brilliant! I'll assume you say it in character; I'm going to post now as I'm boarding a plane[/sblock]Tenser's is a brilliant idea - great thinking, Firete.

Yishim begins casting his ritual and a disk appears several minutes later. Yishim sighs. I miscast this. I don't think it'll carry more than 3 of us at a time. I can ferry us across, however. Should we head west or north first?
[sblock=Tensers]Arcana (1d20+9=16)
You create a slightly concave, circular plane of force that floats a foot off the ground and can carry what you lay upon it. The disk is 3 feet in diameter and 1 inch deep at its center. It remains stationary unless you move more than 5 squares away from it, in which case it moves with your base speed once per round until it is within 5 squares of you. You can command the disk to move up to your speed as a move action. If you are more than 5 squares from the disk for 2 consecutive rounds, the disk disappears, dropping whatever it was carrying.
Your Arcana check result determines the maximum load the disk can carry.[/sblock]

"I don't think it matters which way- from the sound of it, they both head to the same place eventually," Miranna rasped.

OOC: Looks like Yishim gets to 'drive' the disk back and forth. Maybe send Miranna and Brenwar across first, and they can hold the line while you go back for Firete and Cheysuli.

"You need not worry about me, I can step through the veil to get across." Cheysuli says matter-of-factly.

[sblock=OOC]I'm going to be away from tomorrow until thursday, so NPC Chey as you see fit :)[/sblock]

"That is a blessing, I don't know if I could of made it over in all of this," he raises his heavily plated arms. "So shall we be off?"
[sblock=OOC]
I assume we take a moment while I change to my new armor.
@Twoheads: Technically this new suit of armor will put me in encumbrance mode counting my old suit. Do I need to ask someone to carry it for me in character or can we just hand wave it for now?
