Nightfall today announced the release of the ONL, or the Open Nightfall License. This license will allow third-party Nightfall developers to provide their Open Nightfall content for the use of the community, while retaining their brand components for their exclusive use.
"Our hope is that the theory of Nightfall Externalities means that more publishers will be able to release Nightfall-compatible material, thus making Nightfall the IN thing this season," said Nightfall at a non-existent news conference I just made up.
The basis for dNightfall gaming will be the SND -- the Standard Nightfall Document -- available at www.opennightfallfoundation.org.

I'm temporarily out of Nightfall-inspired ideas, so I thought I might try to remember the original topic....
I think someone up above (I forget who... lost in all the Nightfall-isms) mentioned wanting modules to be the next big thing.
As a player, I'm all for anything that helps the DM build a quality game session, but since I can't read them first, I'm not getting the "why did I start reading this thing so late, I really need to put it down and go to bed" love. This is one of the reasons I'm looking to upgrade from player to DM-in-training.

Dammit - 'nuff of Nightfall already! (Unless they come out with a Nightfall MageKnight minature...ooh!)
I think as a major backlash to the "Book of Vile Teenage fart gags" the next big thing will be supplements detailing how to play cute n' cuddly characters. Fluffy bunny templates. Resistance to pollen. Craft: flower arrangement. The list is endless.
Plus my halfling could really use a set of those Gnomish pink slippers +1 right now...
