The Longevity Spell

First Post
Our group had a back in time adventure that ended up getting us a copy of the Longevity spell from 2E. While it is only an 8th level spell, we are having a hard time putting a value on it that is fair in 3E. It is in the form of a spellbook that can be prepared from and transcribed, but it cannot be cast directly.

Our thoughts ranged from 1600 gp (200x8th level) up to around 30,000 gp (about the price of a wish scroll) or even more (since it is essentially a lost spell during "modern" times.

Any opinions about the value of such a spell in 3E?
