If you are doing both skills then 10+ will probably work better.
It goes a little high but feats will make up for it

That looks pretty good. Or instead of spell level, you could tie the checks to caster level. It'd be easy for a 20th level caster to cast a 1st level magic missile all day. Not so easy for the 20th level version.

You could but Itd be hard to balance, and you would need to do caster level and spell level.
Maybe spell Level*2 + effective caster level it should work abaout right.

Isn't that the point?

I would say the price for failing a concentration check should be +3 or 4 not +1

Nice job on the above, MG :)

Personally, I know I was shaky with the math, but what's your reasoning behind the +3 or +4 for the conc check adjustment?

Its the equivalent of +1 spell level, the way you had it before, other than that nothing really.

Edit: It just kind of scaled up when I scaled up the DCs

Edit: And since failing the Concentration check doesn't actually fail the casting of the spell it should make it significantly harder.

Edit: If you want the penalty could start small and increase rapdly, like +1,+2,+4,+8,+16 but that gets out of hand kind of fast...
