The mongoose Quintessential series (seperating the wheat from the chaff)

For me, these books have been hit or miss in a big way.

I have books like the Q-Wizard and Q-Fighter which I can't find much to use from, and books like Q-Sorcerer that I think hit the spot just right. A few like Q-Witch I just can't get a read on, but they don't compare for me to other options.

What's the general take on this series? What do people like or dislike and why?

What have you found game enhancing and what have they found problematic?

Look at the authors. The best are by Mike Mearls (Wizard and Rogue) and Patrick Younts (Monk and Sorcerer).

Read the reviews; pick and choose. I've like Sorcerer and Bard best so far, though I may take a look at ranger soon.
