Kudos to Sigma7 on RPGnet. And it's looking good.

Tentacle-Baboons have your number and they are not happy with what you did to Orcus.

So, who plans on buying it? I was initially thinking, "Why would anyone get that? Monsters can be reskinned..." But then I realized that I would like a second MM of baddies to give me more things to reskin. New monsters. Not higher level kobolds or something. I think if the book comes through w/ that I might purchase it.

How does the ENWorld feel?

You can never have enough monsters. :)

I'm a supplement whore--I have to be, for my job, but I would be even if I didn't--but even if there came a day where I cut drastically down on my D&D books, I would still likely get every major monster book to hit shelves.

While Mouseferatu is correct in theory, I might stop after MM2.

On the other hand, basing each MM around a major baddie or two is a nice move. MM1 has Orcus and a bunch of undead, Yuan-Ti and the Zehir cult, and a bunch of regular cast because they have to be in. If MM2 has Demogorgon and his minions, the cult of some evil god, and more supporting cast (clay golems durnit), and future books also have a theme, that's going to sell more than "Yet another MM full of wacky monsters".

On the prehensile tail, I don't fancy buying 30$ books just for ten pages of demon cult info, even if it's awesome.
