The more I read about Arcana Unearthed...

monte has said that AU will not be released as a pdf first like malhavoc's other products. it'll come out only in print and be available starting at GenCon. but then again would you really want a 200+ pg. pdf?

The PDFs of the main book will be broken down into sections. Actually I think Monte's Web site mentions they may be sold in sections as well.
From the AU FAQ:

Will this be an electronic product, a print product or both?
Unlike most Malhavoc Press products, this book will not appear as a PDF first. The hardcover print edition available in August for $29.95 will be the book's debut. (Well, we'll have some at Gen Con in late July.) Shortly thereafter, portions of the new material will be available as individual PDFs for sale at www.montecook.com, for people who prefer electronic formats or just don't want the entire book.

No not that bad at all, I use it quite frequently actually (but then again, I'm always swearing). Keeping in the Scandinavian style, the Danish words are :

Fanden
Satan
Djævel

Bastard is the same but has no relation to the devil in any shape in the Danish language.

Well scandinavians do tend to use these words a lot, might just be that we combine curses a lot more often then other cultures into sentences (I try not to swear but the above words do slip in a lot).

Some people also say that the scandinavian word "Faun" is derived from the word "Fan/Fäan" (as in the devil himself) but since it exist in several other langauges as well I'm not so sure.

Still a "Faun" looks a lot like the image we had of the devil in older times, so it just might be another word for the devil himself.

I own a ton already, I got a lot of WotC ESDs.

I do a lot of campaign stuff on computers and copying and pasting is a lot easier than typing. Also my brother who is a DM in one of our games and a player in one of mine has a laptop we use so I don't need to bring 30 books to a game to have access to them.

As a AU playtester, let me assure everyone that AU is fully compatible with D&D 3E and 3.5.

<SNIP>

It's quite easy to pull things out of AU and into your d20 universe. It isn't quite so clear how you take random d20 elements and push them into an AU game.

And my playtesting revealed some significant deviations from the d20 core rules balance. I'm hoping a number of my concerns will be addressed before the book is released. I'm encouraged that many of them were addressed halfway thru playtest.
