Well, 1 out of 17 people in the US live in So Cal - it's not that unusual. There are at least two of us that I know of just in Irvine. What really struck me as odd was when I was living in West Lafayette, Indiana and found that there were like 4 or 5 people living there on Enworld.

I am a member of an incredibly small message board comprised of about 6 or 7 active members at most. I discovered that one of them lived close enough that we could go have coffee together. Furthermore I enticed her to start roleplaying and now she's an ENWorlder too.

Well... if you count anything in California below Sacramento as southern... which nobody does, then yah, I live in southern california. But really the SF Bay Area is more of a... northern california.

I attend UC Santa Barbara, but I'm from the Bay Area originally.

Originally from SoCal, grew up in OC, went to UC Irvine, was living in Costa Mesa before heading north. Only moved up to Sac in August 2002 for grad school. Planning to move back south after I'm done at some point.
