At the lower levels I think I'd rather have the Healing from Cure Wounds. At the higher levels this seems like a no brainer with Bounded Accuracy.

Our group has no problems with playtesting it. It just seems like a must have during every combat because it adds +d4 to every attack and saving throw for ten minutes for every party member.

Were players complaining that they missed a lot of attacks and saves leading to this change?

They want to get rid of fiddly little +1 bonuses all over the place. It's like what they talked about with skill dice and d20 advantage: It's significant enough that you'll remember it, it's easy for another player to tell if you're not applying it, and it's easy to apply retroactively.

Tordek: (rolls d20) 14 AC.
Mialee: You forgot Bless!
Tordek: Oh, right. (rolls d4) 16 AC.

I like the fact that it feels really worth the while to arm and cast it. Bless of old always felt like a wasted spell slot. Now it feels really potent.

As opposed to:
Tordek: (rolls d20) 14 AC.
Mialee: You forgot Bless!
Tordek: Oh, right. (adds +1) 15 AC.

It's too much of a bonus, I think. With Bounded Accuracy, +1 is more than powerful enough for a 1st level spell.

Yeah, but it's easier for Mialee (and Lidda, and the DM...) to tell that Tordek is or isn't applying the bonus if the bonus is a physical object on the table.

Speaking of spells, there are several listed, but are missing, like polymorph object for the leprechaun, and whatever happened to produce flame?

Aside from the Barbed Devil action.
