The new D&D Player's Kit

Doesn't the fact that the booster has so many humanoid pieces make the abberrations booster perfect for a player kit?

Maybe. But, for the record, I was not (necessarily) disagreeing with including it with the Player's Kit, just commenting how much I hated the set. :)

But Aberrations has the best figure EVAR... the Chuul!

How can you not love the Chuul?! ;)
Because i have plenty of lobster/ crayfish minis from the learning stores.

Actually i do like the chuul mini, i wish i had me one or two.

Also the Destra-chan makes a nice figure to mount minis on. That is one ugly rump-sucker

Double checking something. Thaljim kinda said it above, but I want clarity. The soft cover incorporates the erratta? If so, it is a helluva deal. My FLGS has it for 23 bucks. Dice, plus minis, plus soft-cover erratted PHB is a steal.

Yes it does, just like the current hardback PHBs.

Because in the booster I just received 7 of the 8 minis were PC types or humanoids of which I already have enough minis to represent from previous DDM sets. Most of the boosters I got when the set came out were the same way. Being someone who wants monster figures, this set was awful to me. For those who love humanoid minis, though, I bet they loved the set.
Gotcha. So for someone (like me) who does not collect DDMs, this is a good deal. ;)

Note that the Players Kit comes with the Booster Pack shrinkwrapped to the outside of the box (it won't fit inside and still let the box fully close.)

Nah. If they wanted perfect they'd have done some custom jobs with all the core classes and their core characters represented. ;)

That's due out in November. :)

Of course, since we now have the 3.0 PH, the 3.5 PH, the Leatherbound Special Edition PH and now the Softcover PH...

4E should be just about a year away!!

well, considering the idea that this is supposed to be a transition set from the Basic game then in theory, the player should ALREADY have those minis...

Got mine today and it came with a free Aberrations booster.

After opening my booster, I was reminded as to why I hated Aberrations so much...
Feel free to send any minis you don't want my way. :D
