The next 40$ 200-page hardcover fron WotC should be a . . .

I will second the mass combat and kingdom ruling suggestion for the next book. I look at it this way... I started on OD&D with the Basic, Expert, Companion, and Masters set. 3e has given us the Basic, Expert and Immortal set, but not the Companion or Masters set.

Oh well... :(

Not really 200 pages, but I would like a document mixing in the treasure tables from different products. I would like a weapon table with extra uncommon weapons. I would like a weapon table with only medieval European weapons. I would like a table for a world with 50/50 Magic/Psionics. I would like a table for a world with 90/10 Magic/Psionics. I want one for low magic campaigns. I want one with all the splatbooks in etc. etc.

Absolutely. Maybe not Birthright, but right now I'd *really* like kingdom-running rules for PCs, including population growth, resource management such as forestry and mining, taxation rules, upkeep/infrastructure rules, and "general happiness" rules/modifiers for the populace (from "fanatic" to "revolt", for example!). And, of course, a d20 mass combat system.

I don't know about anyone else, but at 15th level, my players get pretty tired of constantly beating on monsters, and while exploring the Planes (and spelljamming, etc) is a blast, too much of it can result in some monotony. They want to run their own little barony, starting from scratch (build their stronghold first, then build a road to the nearest trade way/settlement, then have an inn or tavern spring up, then a village, etc) - during which time the PCs still have to adventure to defend their little realm (opportunities for both dungeon hacking and political adventures with neighbors).

I'm trying to (slowly) develop the rules myself, but I've discovered these days that I have way more money than time... :/ Ah well, wishful thinking!

Eden's Book of War is supposedly offering all of this, but according to the website, it looks like its been pushed back again to Christmas. :(

I hope it does not suck.

No way, the forward would have to be done by Tracy Hickman! ;)

...The Book of Vile Darkness II: Even VILER Darkness!

Seriously, though I would like to see an unique campaign setting. Such as Dark Sun or Birthright, not the standard Forgotten Realms. Also I would like to see "historical" source books that focus on the mythology of different ancient civilizations and how they can be incorporated into D&D. Examples that I can think of would be Ancient Greece (the Iliad, and the Oddessy), ancient Babylon (like the Epic of Gilgamesh), and a medieval sourcebook. That is to say TRUE medieval sourcebook focusing on the European middle ages, unlike the quasi-medieval/pagan cultural mishmash found in so many D&D games.

Somehow, I got the short end on that stick. I placed my order on one of the last days that the Epic Level Handbook was selling for that price, but never got it. Got an email last Friday saying that it's still not in stock, but they're trying (translation: they want me to cancel, because they don't want to sell it for that price). Seeing as I'm not very anxious to get it, I'm willing to wait more.

Email their support staff. It won't come until they re-place the order for you. I finally got mine shipped that way. There was some kind of hiccup in their order fulfillment and a bunch of those orders never went through correctly. If you email them they will get the book to you and honor their price. I suspect the problem has something to do with the erroneous price that we all happily took advantage of.

alright then... lets start a campaign!!!

i reckon the biggest problem would be who to write it. james wyatt was interested in asian culture. what great game designer is interested in arabic/persian/mid eastern culture?

Why, none other than Mr. Gygax!
