D&D 5E The Oath of the Mage, an Arcane/Further Gish option for Paladins

This subclass is fresh out of the forge. I'm pretty happy with it, and I'd figure I'd run it by you guys to advice/judge/review/whatever and, if you wanted to, use it in your own home games.

Paladin:Oath of the Mage(If that link doesn't work than use this)

My goals for this subclass were to make an arcane option for the paladin, kind of like the arcana domain for the cleric. It's not the most original idea in the world, but I think I might of done something different. Once you get up in levels, it might get a little combat OP(especially against mages), but hopefully I locked the stronger stuff behind Channel Divinity and Long Rests. I debated heavily with the spells and Arcane Ward, but I'm happy with them. I'm not a big fan of the rather superioristic fluff and tenets I came up with, but in this case I didn't want to be very Lawful Good/any other alignment heavily encouraged. Don't forget to give any tips, this is actually the first subclass that I've homebrewed.

PS: I didn't actually suggest any deities of in the doc, but Solinari, Nuitari, and Lunatari are ovious in my mind, along with any other deities of magic/mages that you can think of.

Pretty cool! A house rule I've been considering is to allow Paladins and Bards to chose to use INT for there abilities at 1st, and then just reskin abilities as needed.

It's a cool concept, kinda the opposite of the subclass I'm working on, the Oath of Annulment, which is a mage-hunter.

The only thing that stuck out to me was the arcane ward. It's effectively just an arcane-flavoured HP boost as it is. I'd suggest adding some method of restoring hit points to the ward, similar to the abjuration wiz.
My suggestion would be to tie it to Lay on Hands, adding a sentence to the feature that reads something like:
Any time you use your Lay on Hands to restore hit points to a creature, your Arcane Ward regains half that many hit points, up to its maximum.

Thanks, I might just do that, though I'll probably shift it to creatures other than the characters, to encourage party support.
