Personallly, I wouldnt mind seeing Minions get updated.

Er, Joe:

Oddly, though, they have spiffy new art in the 3.0 version, but revert back to the old art for the 3.5 update.

But that said, I think Joe Browning is on to something: if you want PC races a bit different than the traditionals, this is a good resource. (I have knuk, dover, and asherak NPCs in my river or worlds game.)

So, is that book, "Forged" ever going to get it's sequels?
I usually woudn't care, but I kinda really liked it, so. :)

Although we'd love to have Thomas write another one, I don't see it happening any time in the foreseeable future.

1. I've heard rumors of a new campaign setting coming out from Bastion. Were those rumors incorrect or just refering to the new modular nature of the Oathbound products?

As Steve said, this is true; however, we are not ready to go public just yet. Bastion Press playtesters will likely see a document sometime after the holidays, but our actual publication date has not been set.

I will say that it will be OGL (and not d20), created by myself and my writing partner Todd Laing, and will be something that is a little different than some of the more common *fantasy* settings out there. We're very excited about some of the newer concepts we're developing in this campaign, in hopes of setting it apart from the *campaign style rut* (as I like to call it) I think the industry has fallen into since the onset of d20 years ago.

Lore of the Gods,
Is this the same format as the 3.0 pdfs updated for 3.5 with the Mesopotamians thrown in on top or is it significantly different?

Tim Hitchcock is converting Steve & Kevin's original cut of LotGs to 3.5, is adding the new divine rules from the SRD, and a few new cool concepts. I hope to see Tim's turnover in the next month.

Is there an illustration for every god, hero, and monster? Is the art all new and or will we see any photo type images like in two of the pdfs?

We have yet to go over the art in detail, but I believe so. No photos. :D

Any more pdf adventures planned?
There still are not that many high level ones out there (My campaign could use something in the 18+ level range).

Like most publishers, we do not have enough hours in the day to write everything we want -- and adventures (PDF or otherwise) is one of them. I would LOVE to see adventure submissions. Currently, our only vehicles for adventures (high level or otherwise) is to publish it PDF (if it is non-Oathbound) or in our new ongoing LEGACIES OF OATHBOUND PDF product. Once our interactive LEGENDS OF THE FORGE campaign gets off the ground, we'll have adventures there too.

Unless we get something that REALLY stuns us I don't think we'll venture into printed adventures ... for the time being. ;)

OK, I'll bite, what's that.

From Steve in a different thread ....

So what's in the future for Oathbound? Well, Tom has already mentioned our next release being Wildwood and you will note in Kevin's signature that we've established a new official Oathbound website (www.Oathbound.net). We are continuing our support of the line through electronic releases of pdf material. We already have the initial hardcover Oathbound book, Oathbound: Domains of the Forge on RPGNow and DriveThruRPG for $19.95, along with downloadable adventures. We've also just released the first of an ongoing series of pdf support releases called Legacies of Oathbound, which will detail stuff not covered or barely mentioned in the print supplements. Sometime in the coming year, we will be launching the Legends of the Forge interactive campaign. Initially, this will only be available at conventions, but we expect to be able to open it up to everyone shortly after it has been established. Players will have opportunities for their characters to truly become legendary within the relams of Oathbound. Watch for more news on this sometime in the first quarter of 2005. Currently under development and possibly slated for a Gen Con release is an Oathbound product that will not only update the setting to 3.5, but also give player's many of the tools they've been asking for regarding Oathbound. But that's all I'm allowed to say about it for the time being.

Okay, after Wildwood comes The Vault and then Anvil (from BP's messageboard)- so do we see Eclipse or the Kiln last?

Since WW is meant to be both a supplement and a campaign setting, how does the latter work? Is it meant to be added to another setting or could it be stand alone?

I'm sure Steve will correct me if I mis-speak, but I'm pretty sure I can handle your questions DMH. First of all, Kiln will be last. I can't say why, but it just will. So there.

Wildwood was written to be a stand-alone: all you need is in the one hardbound book. However, those familiar with Oathbound will recognize it as the domain it is and it will flow easily into the over-arching Oathbound setting. This is what I'm getting from Todd, I haven't actually seen much of the book yet (with the exception of some playtesting things). Trust me, I'm just as excited to see Wildwood as anyone!

I guess on that topic, I'll throw in my own question: do we have any inkling when Wildwood will hit shelves? Tomorrow maybe? :D
