The official Bastion Press Q&A thread

No, it won't Joe. I don't own Poisoncraft and haven't seen it yet. As for Doom Striders, it's on our list of things to do, but I can't give you a definite date. I'll see if Sam wants to compile together an errata into a single document as a favor.

I've got to get my hands on a copy of Doom Striders.

Steve, this is unrelated but your PDF is close to release and will be out in December.

Poisoncraft is good! Solid work with great art.

For Doomstriders, most of that errata and FAQ has been collected in my review here: Doom Striders

That's fine Joe. But there is errata collected in other places also, including our boards on Mortality. I'll talk to Sam and see if he's willing to compile it all.

Phil, thanks for the heads up. I was wondering about that project. :)

Sounds good. I got most of the errata/FAQ from Mortality and questions on this board. Can never be too complete!

So when shall we see Wildwood?

And the updated errata for A&H?

You guys have been so quiet recently, I can only hope that means there is a lot of typing going on (first the job that keeps you fed and then for BP).

Looks like that. The webpage hasn't seen any updates in quite a while - it actually shows an ad for GenCon SoCal 2003 - and oathbound.net seems to be gone, with the related subforum on mortality.net closed.

The Oathbound forum on Mortality was closed because we launched OB.net - unfortunately that site seems to be down this weekend for some reason. We're trying to figure out why. As to updates, we're discussing updating more regularly, in particular putting out previews of upcoming products (such as Wildwood and Lore of the Gods).

Last I heard on Wildwood, we're working on art. I'm updating A&H to 3.5 currently, and I imagine errata will be added when I've finished. I think the Bastion crew has been a little quiet lately because everyone is working on various products. We're still here, we're just busily writing new stuff. :)

Another reason contributing to the delay for the release of Wildwood lies in the process of updating the Oathbound domain book to 3.5. What started out as a simple "change the stat blocks and make minor adjustments to various spells and feats" became a much more involved project of reviewing every mechanical aspect, including races, spells, prestige classes and especially prestige races presented in the core rulebook as well as the two Penance supplements and seeing what needed to be addressed not just to update them to 3.5 but also to improve how they worked. Fortunately, this process is finally drawing to a close, so Wildwood as well as the 3.5 Oathbound should be coming out shortly. I didn't think it would have been a very good idea to release Wildwood, (using the prestige race rules from the core rulebook), and then have to release an errata updating it to comply with the information provided in the 3.5 version of Domains of the Forge book. Also it's important to note that Wildwood is a stand-alone campaign setting as well, so this updated information also needed to be included in Wildwood.

Most of the artwork is also nearing its conclusion. The guys from Inner Circle have finished the maps and based on what I've seen so far they are absolutely stunning.

I've put together a sneak peak of one of the chapters in Wildwood that we'll post on the website hopefully by the end of this week to whet your appetite.

Hey, that's good news. I'm really curious how Wildwood will turn out. I bought some of the Oathbound supplements during your recent sale, and I found them quite inspiring :).

I hope you get rid of those page borders ;). As I've seen from pdf's, most of your books look much better without them :D. Of course, YMMV. And new maps sounds like an excellent treatment of one of my most serious pet peeves with the old Oathbound :).
