The official Bastion Press Q&A thread

As soon as my health improves more, I'll be finishing up editing on Lore of the Gods as releasing a few sneak peeks for that book also.

Just a note, while color may not show sales. I know it increases the chances of me purchasing it. I am not a fan of black & white.

I feel your pain ecliptic, really I do. Unfortunately, market research clearly shows that color vs. black and white makes almost zero difference in sales. Believe me, this horse has been beaten to death several times over, and no one at Bastion was happy about the move; financially however it was a no-brainer. Why pay premium dollar for something that won't net you a return on your money compared to the alternative? That being said, I really miss the color as well :\

On a happier note, Wildwood looks AWESOME. Believe me, it will SO be worth the wait. Its also huge :)

Castlemorn is not the secret setting... ;) That setting has been pushed back to 2006 at the soonest.

Okay. Well if Castlemorn is not the supersecret setting from Bastion, then what is it? It is not on Bastion's products list page. By the name I am guessing it is the second book of Wildwood, but I would rather know for sure.

I'm guessing it's Ed Greenwood's setting that was originally going to be published by Fast Forward Games before they went out of business. Not too much was known about it at the time other than the fact that Ed was involved with it. :)

Castlemorn is a joint venture between Bastion and Studio2 Publishing. Basically, most of the hard work has been done and Bastion is just tweaking and fixing the things that need attention. :)

No web page for Castlemorn yet. I expect that will happen in the future. Unfortunately, the prices for color turned out to be way too high to be practical. Wildwood will be b&w.

Believe me, I am as bummed about it as you. Some of the art was fantasic in color.
