The OGL and other systems

Although not role-playing, I'd like to see Warhammer Fantasy Battles go OGL. People free to make their own armies and models, scenarios... then someone could possibly resurrect Blood Bowl as well :)
Blood Bowl was just rereleased. It never actually died at all, and it's probably healthier now than it's ever been. You can download the latest version of the rules online, even, from the GW website. And making Warhammer open won't help it, as the rulebases are completely different (which is a good thing, as BB is a much better game, IMO.)

I would like Fuzion to be OGL (though you can get a license for it, or something, though I don't know how any of it works - see the "Lightspeed" pdf campaign setting for Fuzion as an example).

You can get the license but it may demand royalty payment.

I suggest you try the Action! System (see above for link) ... that is, if you're a fan of Fuzion. Trust me, the rules are similar.

its a bummer the old d6 system isn't OGL. I know that some of you will want to flame me for saying this, but with the exception of how the health worked with the d6 system (the one used by WEG), the system rocked and was a lot more versatile than the d20 system. It also lead itself for a better resolution for cinematic types of games.

That's my general impression - that probably a royalty fee is involved.

I read Action! System, and while okay, Fuzion is better. Besides, the products that use Fuzion exactly fit my play style and campaigns. (And I certainly wouldn't switch to Action! just because it uses something like the OGL. I'm no publisher.)

Thanks for the link, though.

The Fuzion System is a mix of an older version of the Hero System (Champions is a Hero game if you don't know), and a few pieces from R. Talsorian's Interloc System (Cyberpunk 2020, among other games). R. Talsorian and Hero Games (?company name, brain fart here!) released a few games over the years with this system and its wonderful! I have everything that I can get my hands on online.

Here are a few links where you can get everything you would ever need to play in just about any genre you are interested in.

This site has the generic Fuzion Rules and much more:
http://www.mecha.com/~conkle/fuzion/

This site has the Best Fuzion plug-ins, I use many of them:

So what is Action! System lacking, compared to Fuzion?

I mean baseline or core fundamental, they're pretty much the same, you can add more characteristics, skills, or whatever traits (e.g., superpower, psionics, feats), but the core are similar.
