I am a little late out of the starting gate with the announcement so forgive me.

The OKC Sorta-Annual Game Day II

DATE: Saturday May 14th

PLACE: Game HQ in OKC

GAMES: Greg Vaughan author of several Dungeon adventures and upcoming products from Necromancer Games will be running a D&D game. Time and info TBA. I will be looking to run a slot based on player input and of course we are always looking for other DM/GM volunteers.

Last spring we had a blast playing The Wheel of Time RPG and a Fantasy Hero game set in my homebrew. This year we have more folks interested and I would like to get 4 slots going – two in the afternoon slot and two in the evening slot.

Here is the write-up for the adventure I will be running.

“In the Wake of the White Countess”
A D&D Isle of Dread adventure for 4–6 characters
By Greg A. Vaughan

The almost-mythical Rory Barbarosa braved the far reaches of the sea 30 years ago aboard the White Countess and returned bearing tales of a jungle island of mystery and death. Only a battered ship’s log and the sworn testimony of his last surviving crewman lent credence to his wild claims.
The enigmatic captain, Madsen “The Mad” Atirr, has sponsored a voyage to return to the cursed Isle of Dread to complete some task left unfinished by Captain Barbarosa all those years ago. To this end he engaged the services of the privateer and soldier-of-fortune Ban Ramsey to follow the course of the White Countess and succeed where Barbarosa failed. Weeks of magically-sent reports told of hard-won progress and a successful end to the quest in sight with promises for further updates. No such updates came, and Atirr’s best diviners could find no clue as to Ramsey’s fate.
You are part of a second expedition that has been hastily assembled by Atirr and sent to the farthest reaches of the known world. Is your goal a simple rescue mission, or does your mysterious employer have some as yet unrevealed agenda? Either way, danger and adventure surely await as you follow in the wake of the White Countess.

Eosin, Yeah it'll be the typical slot. I'll run it in the early slot and if there's demand run it again or have someone run it again in the late slot. What are the times for the Game Day and the two slots going to be? I don't think I saw them in the original post.

Navar, it looks like it's going to be about 8th level so far. I'm putting the final touches and balancing everything out for it in the next couple weeks. PCs will be provided, however, if you'd like to bring your own just send me a run-down on the character's particulars (including magic items) at gav3@prodigy.net so I can take a look. The main thing is that the need to be balanced with the normal power alottment for a PC of that level per the DMG since this is going to serve as something of a playtest for the adventure before I make final modifications and try to get it published.

If you or ayone else would like to do this with your characters please e-mail me this week as I will not have internet access starting this weekend until May 5th. It'll probably be after that before I can back to you since this week is looking pretty full so far.

Thanks for asking.

P.S.
Anyone sending e-mails, be sure to put "Game Day" in the subject line so they don't get Spam deleted.

Okay, I am opening up the game slots. I am still not sure what I am going to run (I would like to run a Hero Systems Game this year but only if there is interest). I was thinking of an Avengers or X-men scenerio. If not I will run a d20 Fantasy based adventure.

EDIT: As to be expected, I am having some email problems. Why expected? Well, because I need to reply to people whom I don't know :heh: If you sent me a message expect to hear something back tonight - IF I can get it sorted out. I may need to try my webmail stuff since it is OUTLOOK that is giving me fits.

Ringmasters

The circus has come to town and brought trouble with it. This is a Two-Fisted Action Adventure designed for cinema-like wild action. If you ever wanted to fight perched on a tightrope while fire raged in the background and rampaging animals waited for you to fall then this adventure is for you.
