One piece of older tech I’m “worried” about losing eventually is my iPad2.

Secondhand iPad2 tablets are dirt cheap (€20-€40), so you could replace the hardware, a bigger issue would be it having the right iOS version and getting the old software on that iPad2...

I have some 50 year old Advent speakers I still use for my home entertainment system. Been re-coned twice in their lifetime. Still sound very good.

I have dice that are over 50 years old I still roll at game nights. Mostly just wooden d6s from old yahtzee sets when I was a little kid. My other regular dice are probably 30 years old. Are dice "tech"?

I have a bubble level gauge for leveling my RV that my Grandpa used to level his camper. Again, over 50 years old.

Also, my personal domain was registered in 1996. Makes for 29 year old email addresses.

For ephemeral stuff, probably my MSN email account (established in 2002-ish). Physical goods? I have an old Dell Latitude laptop that I've loaded up with Manjaro (Linux). I like the user serviceable battery.

Yeah, I still use two Hotmail accounts that I created circa 1998, when I was running the website for my local motorcycle riding group.

Technology limits this a bit, implying electronics or at least mechanical devices.

I have a whole bunch of kitchen stuff that's 40+ years old and still in use, but I wouldn't call any of it technology (plates, cutlery, etc.).

I think actual technology, it's pretty much going to be the Stanley Powerlock II measuring tape on my desk which claims to be from 1988, so which would be 36. It's also travelled an awful lot, including across the Atlantic. I have Victorinox pen knife from the same year too, also a world-traveller (though far less since 2001!).

If only electronics count there will be tons of stuff that's over 10 or 15, not much that's over 20, if anything, except a pair of good speakers and an amp from the early 1990s, but I've not used them for a few years (just due to space concerns).

More or less. Mostly I was trying to specify something you've used and owned for a long time, rather than just something old you acquired recently.

I finally had to replace our refrigerator/freezer after 25 years of continuous use a couple of months ago after it finally gave up the ghost and stopped cooling. There may be other items I have made regular use of longer that are older, but I can't think of any off the top of my head. Probably the next-closest is a car from 2004.

I do have a couple of speakers from the 70's, but those were acquired by me recently, so don't count.

Ah, I lied. I forgot about my freezer from the 1950s. Still running out in my garage. That counts as "tech", right?
