Oh, I thought it was for our least favorite.

Or perhaps the one we played last week.

Maybe even the one that would behead the others if armed with a sword?
 






I really enjoy both 3.5 and 4e - 3.5 is really the epitome of traditional/classic D&D for me, and 4e by breaking many of those traditions is a more balanced and solid game - in my opinion of course and fully acknowledging that those are subjective statements.

But if I have to pick only one, I have to go with 3.5. The tipping point for is the licensing. With the OGL vs the GSL, there's no comparison. The OGL encourages a much broader, experimental, and sustainable third party community. As much as I love WotC products, I love Wotc + third party more and 3.5 offers more of that than 4e.
