Only the Purple Worm and the Chuul from that list, but I do have to say that since I forst read the 3.0 MM I have been looking for somewhere to put the Gray Render. I think the concept of a savage beast who occasionally adopts other creatures is a fascinating one.

Yep, from MMII and originally from one of the Creature Collections I believe.

That's right - although I believe it has a different name there. Terribly lethal beastie almost TPK'd a Scarred Lands adventuring party as a random encounter!

Purple worms hold a special place in my heart as a DM and have appeared in almost every campaign in memory. Sphinx's have been fairly common too. Riddle me why?

Grey Render - also a random encounter
Formian and Lillend - used in a 2E Planescape campaign

From this list I have yet to use, but most want to:

Krenshar - the art is inspiring!
Grick - got a couple of the mini's...

The shocker Lizard reminds me of a Pokemon-like critter. Since Wizards is in charge of both franchises, I kinda half-heartedly beleive that to have influenced it creation.

On another note, I once played one in a monster mash campaign, which was FUN!!

Especially since I was advanced to large size :]

My experience:

Arrowhawk- fought several in a canyon.

Belker- Ran one in a pre-gen WotC adventure by Monte Cook. Disappointing.

Chuul- One of the more oft-recurring creatures in our gaming groups, oddly enough.

Howler- Fought one in a certain Adventure Path.

Krenshar- Fought one in Ravenloft. Horror and Madness saves make these more interesting.

Lillend- I ran an encounter with a Coatl who had two Lillend "attendents".

Shocker Lizard- Encountered a stream filled with them in the same canyon as the arrowhawks. I'm convinced "grenade" spells like Shrapnel Globe exist specifically to drop into water infested with these things.

Xill- Ran one, same adventure as the Belker. PCs avoided combat, however.

Arrowhawk - Yesss! I love those critters!

Howler - In Pandemonium a couple of times.

Kraken - Krakens attacking a ship are so cliché... that's why they are so good at it

Purple Worm - Yes. It's a great monster.

Ravid - After this poll I'm gonna include them in the next few sessions, the same goes for the Razor Boar. This monsters need some loving!

Shield Guardian - I forgot it in the poll, yes I used this one.

Shocker Lizard - As an encounter, as a familiar, as a player's familiar...

Sphinx (any) - Forgot this one in the poll as well since I used extensively in 2e
