The Portal (Wanderers)

Leonard looks at Morgan with a little laugh cracking his face. "Hah. I'm paying night by night, and only looking for a small bed to myself. Let the royalty sleep in their suites. I'd sleep in the common room if they'd give me something soft to sleep on. I don't want to book too far ahead, because we might find ourselves sleeping in an outlying camp at some point and paying for a room we're not staying in," he says.

"Otherwise though, I'm sure this is a fine establishment. The Twin Swords you say? Sounds like a proper place to stay," Leonard concludes.

I smile and follow after them into teh twin swords.

"i guess what your points are valid i was just thinking outloud." The three of us then prosead up to the front desk. "Hi we would like three single rooms for night please and dinner this evening if you can provied one."

The interior of the Twin Swords looks as new as the outside. It's fairly empty right now, except for a few people having lunch in a corner.

The innkeeper inspects your cheap garb, frowning.

"Three single rooms, you say? No offense intended, but you three look like you'd be more likely to take cots in one of the common rooms then your own seperate rooms. If it's the security of a lock you're after, I have chests available for rent at a reasonable price."

ooc: incidentally, I have a map up in the OOC thread. It's like the map Morgan has, except Morgan's map shows details like the locations of inns and such.

I shake my head and smile while i pull two silver coins holding them between my fingures.

"I like basic cloths they fit better under armor and cost less so i'll take a room and dinner"

"A cot you say? Here in the common room? By the fire? I'm sold. Forget the room I mentioned earlier. I'll go with the cot. I'm sure the common room will be a fine place to sleep as the newcomers flood in," Leonard says with a nod.

"Now, if our business is concluded, I'd like to get about the task of eating my dinner... if you don't mind sending one of your young ladies to get about the task of bringing it for me."

He frowns at Morgan's coins.

"You've got the right number, but for your own room, those should be gold. And that's not counting the meal."

He turns to Leonard.

"A cot for the night will cost you 5 silver. 3 more, for a meal."

Leonard hands a gold coin over to the innkeep and waits patiently for his meal and his change.

"Looks like we weren't exactly going to be paying for our rooms ahead of time anyway. I've only got 24 of these gold coins. That'll only last me for ONE month, not two," Leonard said with a grin. "I guess we'll be looking for some sort of busywork pretty soon then."

I smile and drop the two silver coins on the desk. I then pull another and two more gold and place them next to the silvers.

"Leonard are you sure you don't want to wait till later after we've done some running around while the day is still fresh."
