Maiu: (Again, from IM)
You summon a Giant Celestial Fire Beetle, which gnaws on the target a bit, then vanishes. The mage looks unimpressed, and asks "Is that it?" You attempt to send your guard dog in to attack, but he frowns saying, "No, no, that's not magic at all! Next!" You respond quite rudely. He smiles evilly, and waves his hands. Everyone else backs away from you. You have a moment to leave, but you stay, staring the mage down. He casts a spell, and suddenly tentacles pop out from the ground and attack you! With a grin, he declares, "And now, for a demonstration of why it's stupid for bumbling novices to insult trained magicians." Instead of crushing you to death, the tentacles begin stripping you of your posessions, and your clothing. Your dog, on the other hand, IS crushed to death. You ask him how he expected a novice to take out such a target with only a few spells. He responds that he didn't... but he did expect courtesy, and now he has to make an example of you. A mage elsewhere in the room sends you a mental message to apologize, implying that if you don't, your assailant will not only publicly and painfully humiliate you, but is alos likely to take you home and use you as a test subject for his experiments. That being said, you apologize profusely, saying "I am so very sorry for what I have said, I'll keep my mouth shut when I'm around people who have authority over me from now on." He seems to consider that, and then says "So you shall, then...", and you find yourself unable to speak. That being done, the tentacles release you (sans your posessions and all clothing but your underwear... and you have to grab for that!) You are sent from the room in humiliation and disgrace.
Morgan:
The man nods slowly.
"It's all over the guild... she insulted the head of the Merchant Magi, and he quite publicly stripped her of her clothing and her dignity with some sort of tentacle spell. She fled the building hours ago. If you're with her, I suggest you find her fast... it's getting dark, and it's dangerous for a woman to be out like that, in such a state of undress."
