I’ve seen all of the original Netflix Daredevil show, in which Jon Bernthal first played Frank, and I’ve seen the first season of The Punisher,* and I’ve seen all of season 1 of DD: Born Again, so I’m fairly well versed on the MCU version of the character.

Am I correct in thinking that Frank does not actually have any superpowers? He simply relies on his special forces / marine training to do what he does and survive his horrific injuries, right? Or is he supposed to have some kind of superhuman strength / pain tolerance / healing?

I have never read any Marvel comics, as some of you may recall.

Based on this trailer, it looks like Frank hasn’t fully recovered from his military-induced PTSD and/or the trauma of his family’s murder. I’m guessing that the “one last kill” tag has to do with him hunting down one last bad guy from his past, which will involve him killing a whole lot of other bad guys along the way.

*I felt like season 1 was a complete-enough story, and that level of brutal storytelling is exhausting, so I haven’t bothered to watch the second season.

Frank is fuled by Rage/anger/ and i think alcohol along with his training from the military.

Besides training and experience, he's described as having an "Abnormal pain tolerance". And if that's based in a super power or just something genetic, stress, psychological factors (depression, anxiety), or past traumatic experiences (or all of the above) remains to be seen.
