Cardstock character sheets and power cards

I'm really curious what the power cards will be like. I expect that they'll be pre-printed cards for all the powers available to the classes and races in the game. That would certainly speed up character creation, and help new players enjoy playing without having to constantly look in the book to remind themselves what their powers do.

A different mix of cards, yes. The existing retail sets of cards are each for all powers of all levels for a single class.
In contrast, it seems that the power cards in the Basic Set will be only the powers for levels 1-3, and only for the classes included in the Basic Set. (So that would be more classes but fewer levels in the Basic Set.)
