The Retaking of Forgehold - 4E

OOC: I apparently got bloodied by the blow BEFORE the dart, and actually fairly deeply - I missed an earlier damage roll somehow.

Telsayn removes the dart from his armor, and refocuses himself for the coming struggle. (move action, second wind, 13hp remaining)

IF (and I never got a good answer on this) we did do the five minute rest, he takes a minor action to breathe on the three kobolds to the south that have so kindly lined up for him. (Close burst 5 should get all of them)

Breath attack versus REF (1d20+4=9, 1d6+2=5, 1d20+4=16, 1d6+2=4, 1d20+4=17, 1d6+2=4)

(I'm coloring Green for misses, Yellow for hits, Red for critical hits.)

Yes, we did.

OOC:Arden holds no melee weapon so no OA. Also, telsayn, the two kobolds south should now be in d1 as Arden pushed them away with thunderwave. The meleers should really move there. Also, Vargo, mira used her whole turn to pull Telsayn's dart off. I don't know if it works mechanically, but at least on your turn you should have used your move.

Whole lotta OOC:
I'm going to explicitly call who does what in what order.

Angel: Curse on B5? That's Mira. I'll say D3. We may have a problem I'm nof seeing with the grid shifting.

Aelek: You bloody the kobold.

Arden: The Kobolds end in D1 and E1, you can't push them into the same square. (ruling not verifed)
Mira: You make an Improvised Easy Heal check, passes. Telsayn not immobilized.

Mal and Teslayn still need to go, Neither on is immobilized, here is a bonus map.

Telsayn: 13hp, bloodied. (I'm going to start including this info at the beginning of each post, I suggest everybody else do that as well.)

Ok, since we did rest, here's Telsayn's action this round:

Move: F5, F4, E3, D2, and attempts to put fear into the kobold at E1 with a fearsome smite that, of course, misses.

Fearsome Smite (1d20+7=8, 2d8 4=18) +1 to hit due to bloodied status, but fat lot of good it's doing him given his rolls... ;) But this also applies to AoOs as well.

With his minor action, he issues a divine challenge, challenging the kobold he just failed to smite. If the Kobold attacks someone other than him, it gets a -2 to the attack roll and takes 7hp of radiant damage.

[sblock=OOC] yes, I probably meant D3. the one that was right in front of me.

as for the same square rule, allies can freely pass in the same square, but cannot stop in the same, unless one is 2 size smaller or both are fine or smaller.[/sblock]

Mal moves toward the Kobold threatening Arden, chopping his ear off and then slamming his shield in his face. The kobold staggers back.

OOC : I am using the +2 flanking bonus thanks to Aelek, +10 total.

Mal is pushing the Kobold from D4 to E3. He shifts into D4 after pushing the kobold, side by side with Aelek.

Mal pushes the Kobold away from Arden. (1d20+10=29, 1d10+4=10)

10 hp damage, decent. Does the red circle meant it was bloodied?

Telsayn ; Make sure to end your round in a way that prevents the Kobold to the north from creating a flanking opportunity on Aelek with the kobolds from the south. We want no more of the +1d6 of damage.

Heads up ; I really want to use my Covering strike ability before the fight is over. Almost did it just now but had no where to shift Arden where he would be safe. So keep an eye out next round for an occasion where shifting 2 free square if you are adjacent to my target is a great deal.

OOC: Mal, that's why I moved where I moved - by putting myself there, the one that I didn't divine challenge will provoke an AoO if he tries to move.

EDIt for the xth time : Damn it Mal, read!

All right, you AoO is only +4 and Mira's AoO are even weaker.

I would have hoped you had challenged the Kobold to the north instead. This guy might take his chance against Mira's AoO, same for yours against you.

But we should be all right, they probably won't opt to take the AoOs, which means they will attack Tel and Mira so that Mal and Aelek will be safe. ;)

This way protects Angel better, tough.
