The Retaking of Forgehold - 4E

Mira, your passive Thievery check lets you realize that there are multiple pressure plates and they aren't all in front of the armor and anyone who have moved up has been exteremly lucky not to step on one. You might want to mention this to Arden who is moving up. If you want to disable the trap you need to roll.

"Guys...stop moving. This trap has 4 pressure plates. Step in any of those spots and you'll trigger it." Mira warns.

"Umm...heres a thought guys, maybe someone can put their shield right up in front of the armor to deflect any that go off while I'm working on it?" the girl suggests hesitantly, and then gets own to work.

(OOC: 1d20+11 = 16

I am kind of scared of the fact that a 21 is not good enough to disarm it. 10+11 since Heroic tier traps only take a DC 20 to disarm.)

((OOC: I'm just gonna say you disarm them and move on.)) You find a ton of shredded silk cloth, and an altar to Tiamat. There is 60gp in an offering tray to Tiamt on the altar.

Once Mira finishes with the trap, she sighs and sinks back to lean against the wall to catch her breath (Healing Surge x2). "I think I've got it licked, but thinking about it, it might have been easier to just have my brother or Tesalyn nock it over."

Once she has caught her breath, Mira looks at the pretty silken cloth and sighs at the damage to it. She wondered if there maybe wasn't enough salvageable to make a pretty dress for her and Angel, maybe some shirts. She carefully folds the cloth and places it into her pack. "Maybe a seamstress can make something of it for us."

OOC: Mira is not taking the silk for her own, she is just carrying it until we get back to town.

Spending 2 healing surges.
24 Hp, 4 Healing Surges remaining.

As Arden shows the gold pieces he found to his teammates and puts it in his bag to divide them later, he looks somewhat disappointed to have only found money. He casts a simple spells with some intricate movements of his hand and the sunrod he was holding starts to float in the air, seemingly handled by an eerie shiny hand (magic hand cantrip). The last fight should have been easier. Let's try to keep a more compact formation next time.

Angel gets back up on her feet and stretches before joining Mira and Arden at the altar.

"Did you guys find anything interesting? Gold, cloth, and... hmm. that's interesting..."

Angel knocks on the Tiamat altar with her knuckles as if it was a door and then shrugs before turning toward the others.

"we should move on. I'd be surprised if no other creature heard us by now."

"Yep, I found some pretty shredded bolts of silk, like I said, we'll need to take it to a seamstress to see what she can salvage of it for us. I was hoping she might be able to savage some big enough pieces for some dresses for us, maybe even some shirts. Wont know until she gets her hands on it though."

"Money could always be put to use, wth the way my dopey brother wastes it. But I don't really see anything super special, maybe they store all of their loot somewhere else?"

You open the door and make your way down the small staircase. The air is much colder here and apparently the kobolds have torches up for warmth, giving the room a soft light. This chamber looks lie it was once a tomb, but the kobolds have transformed it into what you might almost call a playground.
Four stone coffins lie here, with a sludge-filled pit between them. On the opposite end of the room is a pair of wooden double doors. Flanking the double doors are two raised platforms, both 10 feet above the floor. Two kobolds stand on each platform.
Arrayed on the coffins are several animal skulls, all of them arranged in small piles. One kobold holds a sludge drenched stone tied to a long rope that is secured in the ceiling.

"Why do I feel like that wathever is behind those door, it is not something I want to see." tells Wolfheart who sheets his sword and draw a throwing hammer and throw it at a kobold

[SBLOCK=OOC]I've spent one healing surge after last combat to heal from the wound the kobold have given me with his spear.

HP: 25, HS: 7, AP: 2

For the action. Two minors, on to sheat sword, on to draw the throwing hammer. I throw it at the most wounded slinger, if none have been wounded, at the nearest.

Throwing Hammer at kobold (1d20+2=17, 1d8+2=3)

At least, it hit, for a small 3 damages.[/SBLOCK]
