The Retaking of Forgehold - 4E

[SBLOCK=Umm guys...]So if you are all waiting for Telsayn to bash open the door you better either treat him like an NPC and ask him, or someone else tell me what he does. Your suggestion of talking to the kobold in Draconic is okay, but you either need to climb over the wall and jump into the room behind the door that Mira has already. Sorry if my description is unclear.

"Hey, Tes, give me a boost." Mira tells the Dragonborn, intending to repeat what she had done with her brother. Standing on Tes's massive shoulders it was barely a large step up to get up onto the platform again. Once up, she dropped down inside and unbarred the door, keeping her short sword out and ready to strike the second cowering form moved.

[sblock=OOC]Sorry, I didn't really see the door as much of an issue once out of combat. Mira's idea certainly work, though it leaves her alone with the kobold and if he feels like a cornered rat he might attack... But that kobold can't be too dangerous so I'm sure she'll be all right.

But Gene, no one is ever waiting for Tel to crash a door; If Mal doesn't do it, Aelek is the second strongest PC, not Tel![/sblock]

[sblock=In the room]Before the door is unbarred... the kobold is still under the rags. You can't see any exposed features... but that bed just moved slightly.[/sblock]

The door opens up.

Telsayn moves into the room and begins talking to the kobold in draconic. After an eternity of hissing and all of you feeling kinda left out, Telsayn switches to common. "He wants us to let him go in exchange for telling us what we face."

[sblock=Agree]The kobold confirms that there is a white dragon in a secret shaft down the cold hallway.[/sblock]

[sblock=Disagree]
Do you...
kill the kobold?
[sblock=stabbity stab]The skobold diews under a quick thrust of your weapon.[/sblock]
threaten the kobold?
[sblock=threat]Intimidate versus his will defense.[/sblock]
let the kobold go anyway?
[sblock=let em go]The kobold runs [/sblock][/sblock]

"Have him tell us what we face. It woudn't be right to kil him now unless he tries to escape or hurt one of us." Mira says to the Dragonborn. "We can take his weapons and armor and then send him away. We can't just execute him though, it'd be wrong."

OOC: has Mira found anything interesting amonst the corpses before we found the hiding kobold? Glue pots, jewels, stuff like that?

The kobold confirms that there is a white dragon in a secret shaft down the cold hallway.

((OOC: I assume you let him go without much fuss.))

You take a few moments to recover. Once, the door in the cold passageway is pointed out, it is very obvious.

"Ask it how big the Dragon is, I'm not sure I like the thought of trying to be dinner for a mommy sized dragon. We might be able to do for a smaller dragon maybe? Tell him if he tells us all he knows about the Dragon and leaves his weapons and armor here, he can leave this place if he promises not to ever come back."

-''I'd expect it's small enough to fit through that passage.'' Mal says tartly.

[sblock=OOC]Mal regained 4 hp when he used his action point thanks to Aelek's powers and he spend another healing surge to get back to 34/34 hp[/sblock]
