Gene, for the sake of honesty, i have to tell you that i shamelessly stole your combat data format form my own campaign recently started

It may be a bit late to point this out, but Dragon Shields should have AC 19 (18 according to the MM but thats a typo). 7 for Scale Armor, and 2 for the Heavy Shield.

What typo? They have AC 18.

If you think the AC of a monster = 10 + armor + shield + 1/2 level + Dex you need to rethink.

Monster AC is made up whole cloth based on role the equipment is fluff.

Soldier AC = 16 + Level = 16+2 = 18.
