The Return of the Grell?

Used them recently against a group of PC's who had become accustomed to battling humanoids. I read the description of the grell as it floated into their line of sight through some mist. When I finished, the looks on their faces gave me the most satisfaction I'd had during the adventure to that point...

On topic: I saw a great campaign idea (never used though) involving a massive airship that gets invaded by grell and they take command of the ship. The PCs are part of a handful of survivors who must escape...

A bit First Contact, a bit Pitch Black. I liked it. If fact, I might use that one for my Eberron game...
