Excellent. Linae, in your view is WOTC satisfied or dissatisfied with the number of companies that have publicly accepted the GSL? Has the number met your prior expectations, or fallen below them?

Correction: The Pathfinder playtested and balanced version doesn't come out until 2009. Pathfinder Beta will be released and can be bought at retailers and Amazon in Spetember of this year.

I feel sort of bad for Scott, Linae, and other WotC employees who disagree with the GSL (and related topics).
Not only do they have to deal with not liking the direction their company is heading, they can't even vent about it in public. They must smile and nod and talk up what WotC's doing, or just remain silent. It must be immensely frustrating.

Strange question to ask right now. There's what? Two or three established 3PP that have signed up for the GSL? A couple who might be releasing under the GSL. Several who have said they are not going to do 4E. Better time to ask might be in October when people can actually publish for profit.

Seriously though, we've been pretty quiet because we're all recovering. Some folks have even taken vacation time. We're ramping up for Gen Con, working on upcoming projects and trying to catch up on all the stuff that was shoved on the back burner.
Oh, and CaptainChaos, it's not 50 unanswered emails. It's 466 at last count. Ouch.
Then again, Gen Con is coming up. I imagine they might be a smidgeon busy right now.
It looks like they have time to check the site, but don't want to answer questions about 4E or the GSL.

Are you serious? Did you in a million years expect to get an official statement regarding this subject on a random board?
If you want to debate if Pathfinder is balanced or not, maybe it would be better to fork the thread, so that this one doesn't get locked.
