The Shield

Wow this show is tight. Felt closer to 1/2 an hour than an hour to me. I'm going to have to re watch this on Friday, just to see if I missed anything.

I wonder how much more we'll see of Kavenough throughout the season? Forest Whitiker(sp) is just awsome in this role. His character could really hold his own in a scene with Vic.

Kavenough was a major player last season and it looks like he is an even bigger player this season. So you will be seeing a lot of him.

Really, I got the feeling that last night they were wrapping up his storyline. Even a bit too quickly and neatly. Perhaps I see an actor win an oscar and don't expect to see him around very much longer.

I missed most of last weeks episode (arrrg, fell asleep last night, right when Vic and Shane were sitting on the cash). So could someone catch me up on what happened? I don't want to be lost tomorrow. ;)

Thanks!!

Yes but remember these episode were most likely shot before he won the Oscar, or at least the season arc had been written. And if they weren't he must have signed a contract

The official website has episode recaps. As a matter of fact, they have even posted a spoiler for next week's episode.

A strong episode last night.

Man, Billings was right: He and Dutch DO make a good team. I have never liked Billings. I generally thought that he was wimpy backstabbing jerk but after last night, I have a new found respect for the character. His decency and his backbone really came out in that episode.

Shane is really falling apart. I really don’t see him lasting past this season. That is really too bad because Walton Goggins is really terrific in the part. I hope that they keep the character around for the next season but it looks like Vic is getting closer to the truth. If Vic figures out what happened, Shane could be a dead man.

Time will only tell is Julian can cut it as a member of the Strike Team. (Don’t get me wrong. I really like the character of Julian. He just might not be ruthless enough to belong there.) One thing is for sure though; Kevin Hiatt definitely showed the he has what it takes to be on the Strike Team.

David Aceveda is position himself politically and it may come into conflict with Claudette. It is going to be interesting to see how that storyline pans out.
