Any info on the Hin Fist?
Yes, half a page... that refers you to the Sacred Fist PrC from Complete Divine with the additional requirements that you be a LG Halfling worshipping Yondalla, from Luiren. Unless you own Complete Divine, it'll be of no use to you.

new to 3E perhaps - unless you consider something 13+ years old to be new. (oh, hi diaglo!) ;)
For someone who has been playing as long as I have, yeah, that's pretty new... ;)

I meant new to 3e, though...

aaaaw its so cute - so I'm assuming Beguilers are intelligent (since it seems to be using a 'tool' to do magic) - could they be used as PCs?

And if you do have CD, the Hin Fist are still useless, since there's no real difference.
Thanks for the info. :)

It was the main thing that jumped out at me from the art, I was imagining boosts based on size, rather than a "see other book".

I suppose they could be made into a PC... their Int is 12. There are no stats for making a PC, though the entry does mention that a Wizard may get one as a familiar by using the Improved Familiar feat. They can speak Common, but don't seem to have a society or culture of their own, really (but a GM could always create one)

If it were a PC, I'd give it the following racial abilities:

-4 Str, +4 Dex, +2 Int
Size: Small
Darkvision 60'
True Seeing: acts as though always under the spell
Claws do 1d3 + Str, Bite 1d4 + Str
Speed 30', Climb 10'
Prehensile tail: may use objects, including weapons, as though it were a 3rd hand. This does not give him any additional attacks, though.
+8 Racial Bonus on Hide checks as they may change the color of their fur to blend in. If wearing clothes, armor, or covered up, this ability doesn't work.
+8 racial bonus on Climb checks, and may always take 10 when climbing.
Free Feat: Weapon Finesse
Misc: They are the favorite food of Ethereal Marauders, and will always be the primary target for these creatures.
Lvl Adj: +0

Say this at the hobby store the other day but decided to go with Blackmoor instead. Now I'm wondering at the wisdom of that decesion...

Why? Blackmoor wasn't up to your expectations?

BTW, (and back on topic) The encounter tables would be an excellent WEB ENHANCEMENT. Stuffing them into the books, I don't like. I don't use them. 3 or 4 pages I can ignore. More than that and it is an eyesore.
