Talus once again aims true, though the rat does not fall. Falariel follows through with a mighty blow that sends the rat sliding a few feet across the sandy floor.

((Combat ends. Everyone receives 75 XP.))

Gamad.

Gamad picks up his dagger from the ground and looks around.
It's sure dark in here, even my dwarvish eyes can't pierce that darkness, looks like that his the only way down.
he nods to the stairs and pulls his beard in concern.

"Come on, Gamad, let's get going - before you pull out that beard of yours. Then where would you be, eh spell-dwarf? A naked chin - horrors!"

Hunolf roars with laughter as he claps the spellcaster on the back, to take away any sting from his words. Then, pausing only to light a torch, ("Since," he says wryly, "my eyes are even worse than yours down here.") he starts down the stairs.

Falariel

"Good riddance," mutters Falariel as the final rat dies. "And, well fought," she adds in congratualtion to her three companions.

"I think it might improve your appearance," Fala adds with a smile to show she is joking.
If I must travel with a dwarf, at least it's one who has an appreciation for the arcane arts. He's not all bad.

Falariel pauses to wipe her blade free of the rat's blood on the sandy ground. She then appraches Hunolf, and asks to look at his wound. She wants to assess how serious it is, and make sure it remains free of disease.
Heal Check on Hunolf's wound. (1d20+7=24)

As the party presses on down the stairs, Falariel continues to bring up the rear. Her keen elvish senses are alert to hidden dangers as she peers into the shadows.

OOC:
Thanks for that, but since Grimror didn't mention any damage, I assumed that the rat pierced the leather of his boot but didn't actually wound him.

Grimror, you'd better let me know if that's not the case.
