The Tome of Psionics...?

Well, if his system can really invoke the atmosphere of those pictures.... I want to keep it as far away from my game as possible.

Oh I remember PsiandCo...yeah, he was rather ruthless when it came to the way WotC treated the psionics system. And I do remember him getting kicked from the WotC forums, too.

God damn. Nice find, Alzrius (and much thanks to SWAT for the background info). I love Internet sagas of drama and insanity. It's kind of a shame this guy's such an idiot, though. I always love new d20 subsystems, but from his behavior alone I can pretty much guess what kind of work this "Tome of Psionics" is gonna be. He sounds like a classic incompetent who thinks he's a genius.

Hey now!

Even a misanthrope can create a thing of beauty!

If what SWAT says is true, this product (if released) could be worth buying.

However, as has also been noted, its probably not going to get released as a Official 3.5 print product with all the (misspelled) hate he's spewing online.

I'll keep my eyes open, but I won't hold my breath.

This very cool idea was Jonathan Tweet's, not Ryan Dancey's.
This is exactly why I changed my original wording to "I remember hearing"! :)

Thanks, Monte. I do think it's a fantastic idea, though possibly very difficult to do cost-effectively; you'd have to commission art pieces to fit precisely into the boundaries set by the original core books, and use the same fonts, so as not to change the page numbering between versions (making page referencing impossible).

Actually, what would have been really excellent is if they had set things up so that the subjects of the pictures were identical - so, for instance, Jozan tromping on Krusk's face to illustrate the Climb skill was replicated in the traditional/anime/whatever versions of the Player's Handbook.

Call it "Tome of the Mind." That way you get away from the mindset of the optional systems being "psionics" systems (both for those who love the current system, and those that hate psionics period).

Nah. What they ought to do is release a book with more takes on how to do fear in D&D. Ravenloft stuff, Zombie campaigns, survivalist stuff. Ideally with several new systems/styles. Call it the Tome of Horrors. :] :D

Nah- the whole book should be all about 1 particularly powerful ARTIFACT that has a host of Psionic abilities...

The TAM of Psionics.
