I kept trying to come up with a clever response to this, but I could feel Eric's grandma staring down at me from the Great Beyond.

I think that extra time would be nice for people who don't have enough free time to go over the nitty-gritty details of 3.x characters. For me, however, it's a major turn-off. I love the complexity of designing characters in 3.x, sometimes more than playing them.
