Trust me, in their round fresh pc's with full action pt complement will do tons of damage.
Obviously. Luckily for the dragon, it has 280 hit points.

Considering how apparently few groups managed to kill it, I daresay calling it an easy task is simply wrong.

Did y'all figure out that you could stomp out the fire on the braziers on the way into the dragon's chamber and do huge amounts of damage?

???

WHA

There were no braziers on our map

Sleep Question: If you're submerged in water when you fall asleep, will you wake up?

Was there a water source in the black dragon encounter?

If you wake up when submerged in water, if I were running a black dragon I would have him fly into a water source on his turn before he fell asleep. Was that possible?

We had braziers with black flames... the fighter (me) ran up and tried to slam the crap out of the dragon while the ranger and the wizard put the fire out (doing something like 5d6 damage until the flames were out).

I think the two other characters were able to do 5d6 damage twice each before the fire was extinguished.

The Fighter needs to roll a 16 or better to hit the dragon. That's no sure thing. The same goes for most of the other characters as well. And the dragon needs to roll a lot less to hit the PCs.

Not in ours, because the Wizard had Acid Arrow instead of Sleep <slap>

Action points people! You can get 2 attacksper round with them AND double uses of quarry/cuse/etc.
Yes, I bet those extra 3 and 4 points of damage really add up while the dragon is breathing on you and chewing on your face.
