they sure would be powerful... way more than any D&D vampire (except like maybe strahd or someone like that)

i think most of them would be chaotic neutral. they do plenty of both what we would consider good and evil. and they don't have much of a structure to their existence.

marius, however, would be lawful neutral. you might consider louis neutral good. lestat is certainly the essence of CN.

Being an hard fan of Vampire Chronicles (before the horrible end of Blood Canticle :( ) I have tried many times to build some rules about this world.. The biggest problem is the fact that both age and blood given by another vampire are the key to the power of a particuliar vampire.

In this world, you need also rules to cover Psionic-like abilities that human can have (Tale of the body thief), the witches powers (that can be comined with vampires abilities), a complexe ghost-spirits rules, the case of Memnoch, and aslo the very alien Taltos.., etc...

Edit : To answer about the power range, it is quite varied in fact, some (Louis, Claudia, etc..) have few powers beyond the "D&D vampire", but elders one (Akasha, Maharet, etc) or young one infused with elder blood (Lestat) can fly around the world in no time, resist to sun, and some even have a powerfull combust ability.
