Azraels Arsenal (Su): Azrael carries two personal weapons that he manifests from his own life essence. The weapons can change form as he so desires, in fact any weapon imaginable that can be wielded in melee and/or ranged combat can so be manifest. While there is no limit to this in terms of size and/or technology, he cannot manifest anything with a greater total of enhancements than half his hit dice, rounded down to the nearest multiple of five, per weapon. These enhancements may be devoted to the weapons as he sees fit. Furthermore, he cannot produce energy-based and/or matter-based ammunition for these weapons, if such ammunition is required, unless he devoted enhancements to the weapons in order to do so. Nor may he produce any sort of required energy supply, unless he has devoted enhancements to the weapons in order to do so. And finally, when not in combat, the weapons simply do not exist, but Azrael can “draw” his weapons from nowhere as a free action. These weapons do not cease to exist unless it is his desire, nor do they exist unless it is his desire. He may even manifest just one weapon if so desired, although this confers no notable benefits, other than those that are purely circumstantial. Azrael's weapons are considered light weapons for Azrael, regardless of their size.

A character of mine has this ability. He uses it to produce anvils, ray guns, spaceships, and whatnot. It's akin to the looney toons...."I have the bigger gun!!!" theme.

How do I respond to this? It's um.... really silly... I think that's about as PC as I can get.

Hm, the basic, fundamental idea behind this is fascinating: conjuring up items into one's own hands, to be used and manipulated like any other piece of reality, then snuffing them out of existance when they are no longer useful.
The trouble here, I think, is that you've created absolutely no guiding principles for what can and cannot be conjured. There are restrictions, yes, but they are extremely generalized and pretty much just fall into the catagory of "you can't wish for more wishes". That leaves open the sorts of possibilities that absolutely RUIN a DM's ideas for a campaign, and similarly eclipse the contributions offered by any character without this ability. As it stands, it's an ability that is utterly unworkable in almost any d20 campaign.

I'm not sure if any WotC-published material has a concept similar to this already (somehow I think so, but I can't remember where), but it's limited to very, VERY specific items. One item that comes to mind is a Glove of Storing. That, however, is only good for conjuring and snuffing a SINGLE item at any one time, an item which already has to exist and you have to already own.

what?

1. if you had a weapon to beat all weapons you would be invincible and all fun would be lost.
2. you would either be sephiroth, terminator, chuck norris, or dick cheney...
3. and since you would be them it wouldnt be dnd.

Which brings up the point: can I create bananas, eat them, and then use the peels as weapons by setting them on the floor and bullrushing people onto them? I mean think about it: yummy treat, and then think about the person that steps on the +4 holy, shocking, acidic, frost, fire, bane banana peel!

Its so cliché making people slip on banana-peels :( I am going to make a Rogue, level it up to level 20, get Weapon Focus (Orange Peel), Greater Weapon Focus (Orange Peel), Weapon Specialisation (Orange Peel), Greater Weapon Specialisation (Orange Peel) and Weapon Finesse (Orange Peel), just to outdo your magically enhanced Banana Peel. And people will see for once that Banana Peels are a flaw in creation and their coolness is all a hype.
