The third in the Sean of the Dead / Hot Fuzz trilogy comes out in two weeks. I loved both of the other two, so I have big hopes for this. Anyone else looking forward to it?

hadn't heard of it. assumed it was "The End" which is the other end of the world movie going on right now.

Will look for it, as we also enjoyed the previous two

Well, that was an interesting film!

My short review - spoilers:

[sblock]So I'd place it about equal with Hot Fuzz, with Sean of the Dead better than both. I enjoyed it, it had some laugh aloud moments, and the climax was unexpected. It did lack "something" that the previous two movies had, but I can't put my finger on what that something is. It might be that the Pegg character wasn't actually sympathetic in this one; he's a dick. In SotD he's a loser, but a likeable one. In HF he's uptight, but with a heart of gold. In EotW, he's just... unlikeable. No redeeming features.

Most interesting is the way hey handled the action sequences. They had everyone able to do WWF style wrestling moves or martial arts. Everyone. Even little old ladies and the least martial of the main protagonists. It was unexpected when the first fight occurs in the toilets, and I wasn't sure I liked it; but it grew on me. The fact that it was all vs. robots with blue stuff in them which broke apart fairly easily helped with that. And it was GREAT to see Nick Frost kicking so much ass![/sblock]

All in all - worth seeing if you liked the previous two, or are a fan of Simon Pegg.
