There's A Tales From The Loop Boxed Starter Set Coming

Free League has announced a boxed starter set for its Tales from the Loop RPG. This is the awesome Swedish game based on the artwork of Simon Stålenhag (the art book which has also inspired an upcoming TV show on Amazon!)

You can already pre-order the boxed set. It includes a rulebook, an adventure called The Recycled Boy, five regenerated characters, plus a map and dice. It's coming out in April, and costs the equivalent of $27.

What I found intriguing is that FL has started an individual website for both the TV show and the game.

They are not playing around at all to grab new customers when the show goes live.

That would be like a D&D movie being made and Hasbro puts up a standalone D&D website to promote both the movie and the starter set together.

It's pretty much a no-brainer, but you rarely see it done at this level.

That's definitely a little unusual -- Free League and the TV show aren't connected; they're just both inspired by the same art book. But it makes sense to capitalize on the show.
