They announced my game!

My PC could take him. Give me a time stop and three rounds to drop quickened fireballs and unload a harm heightened up to 12th level and he'll be toast before he has can turn the first cheek. ;)

Maybe. But three days later, he'd be back, looking for some payback.

So you mean he had a contract with some cleric to resurrect him? Loser! If his party isn't willing to get him back on their own, then he didn't do much to deserve coming back for, now did he? Sounds like his player's a jerk and knows he can't count on his buds to get him back. :D

You know, now that you mention it, I'm not sure I trust his party, either. One of those guys, Judas, just rubs me the wrong way.

I think he's trustworthy. It's that guy that keeps tagging along behind them claiming he was in on their exploits after the fact that keeps bugging me. Didn't he used to be one of their enemies until they used some psionics to mess around with his head?

You know, if I were going to brainwash an old enemy into becoming a lackey, I think I'd do better than that Renfield wanna-be. ;)

Nope. There's no Jesus in Testament. We pretty much stop at the Maccabees.

re: Bolen's question in the Publisher's Forum
Testament uses the historical record as established in non-religious sources as the baseline for most of its campaigns, though the Israelite history section draws extensively from the Biblical chronicles. However, I want to leave the decision on what is true and what isn't in the campaign entirely in the hands of the DM. I think it's better to provide information and suggestions to support a large variety of campaign approaches than to insist on a single way of handling the material. We're dealing with two thousand years and four major cultures, and supporting only a single campaign wouldn't do justice to the scope of the material.

We're mindful of the sensitivity of the material; several "gamers of faith" have reviewed the manuscript and offered their suggestions, and we've made extensive revisions accordingly. But we're not Dragonraid d20 and we don't want to be; Testament's main purpose is to allow people using the d20 system to enjoy gaming in the setting of some truly great stories.

Y'know, I have heard rumblings on several sites, asking whether the d20 movement will die off this year or not. All I know is, if products like this keep being announced, and the quality keeps high on these ideas, then this will be the year that d20 Surpasses D&D, in my opinion.

It seems to me that the quality of some the current d20 products has greatly surpassed anything WotC has put out. It is a great situation to be in though, the bigger problem is deciding where to spend the limited resources.

If Testament is as good as I think it will be, it is just another case that proves the point.
