• NOW LIVE! Into the Woods--new character species, eerie monsters, and haunting villains to populate the woodlands of your D&D games.

they do exist!

Uh, dude, I think you're kinda stepping over the line calling all women/girls stupid. We're not 5 years old here. I'm sorry for your problems with your GF, I had a fight with mine last night myself. But thats no reason to and call every girl stupid.

It has nothing to do with this thread even.

If you're having trouble viewing the video, try going to www.dungeonmajesty.com.

Warning: It's really kind of awful. It's sadly like the D&D movie, but even more home-made looking.
Thank ye, thank ye.

Hey that's actually a lot more entertaining than I thought. No, not that way you weirdos. Sheesh.

Is it just me or does the dungeon master dude come off as extremely sleezy? :)

Okay girls and D&D do NOT mix.

REASONS:

A)They're stupid.
B)They're problematic.
C)They're heartless.
D)They will cheat on you with your brother.
E)They will cheat on you with your best friend.

News flash: unsurprisingly, we don't tolerate gender bias any more than we tolerate racism or religious prejudice. I don't give a damn about how you feel at home, but if you're posting here you'll obey the rules. Replace "girls" with "Jews" or "Blacks" or "Homosexuals", and you start to see exactly why this sort of post isn't even close to okay.

Taking into account the previous problems we've had with you, Vorith, you're suspended for two weeks. If we ever see any sort of offensiveness from you in the future, you're gone for good. Feel free to email me if you have any questions.

why are people so amazed with women gamers? It's not like they haven;t been around for 20 years with numbers increasing all the time.

Going with a more serious answer than before...It's the same as any other male dominated pursuit (or conversly for a male in a female dominated one). Someone going against stereotype always tends to stand out and receive more attention...both positive & negative. The "drool" factor is probably just a side effect of the juvenile dominated aspects of the RPG population.

Nope you have done a fine job of showing that you tend to make poor choices.

it's funny that we have this thread here marveling at the possibility of female gamers, and a few threads we have another thread that is all about the female gamers of EN World.

Ahh but if female gamers weren't considered to be such a curiosity that thread would very likely be non-existent, or at least be perceived very differently.

No, it would. It it a thread of one femal gamer just reaching out to others. It started as a way to recruit some to her own little boards.

I agree with the last sentance. But lets take football, a male dominated hobby. I don't see the same fascination with male football fans over female football fans as I do in the gaming world.

Hence the disclaimer at the end of the statement. Even if the thread were exactly the same, it would be viewed in a very different light.

But we aren't talking about gaming fans, we are talking about participants.

Talk to woman or girl who has played football and you will find her experiences to be very different from the average male player's.
