Things I LIKE about Mongoose

Is the Bab5 Pocket Guide cleaned up of editing & grammatical errors?

I like the idea behind the pocket guides, provided they straightened out all the errors from the first round of printings...(i.e. Conan pocket guide is essentially the Atlantean edition in small format).

I picked up the Pocket Guide to Babylon 5 last week. Despite being a big fan, the cost of the regular book and the fact that I probably would never get a campaign running for B5, I had put off buying it.

But when I came across the pocket guide I could not resist and I have to say I love this format!! I can carry it arround easier, it doesn't take up as much shelf space.
I wish other publishers would release pocket guides for some of thier books, especially books that are going out of print or to combine a bunch of little books with similar themes.

WotC has actually done this in the past with the VanRichten guides from Ravenloft re-released into Pocket Compendiums.

Cheers guys, this makes for good readiong at the end of the day and makes us feel the continued effort is worthwhile :)

As for Pocket Paranoia (Paranoia CE?), we are talking about it. No firm plans yet but we are mulling over the idea.

The Titan Games guy over at RPG.net had a good thing (in a backhanded way) to say as well in his review of GAMA. (Mongoose is one of the booths he made a point to hit).

I feel guilty for causing all the furor on the other thread, so I'll chime in with my response:

PARANOIA.

Opportunity for average Joe to aid in development? Yup.
Illuminati Deluxe: The RPG? Yup.

One of the best damn roleplaying games around. Period.

After Matt and Co. implemented the Sons of Cimmeria program after the less then spectacular release of Conan last year, I've got nothing but love for the 'goose. Any company that goes to such lengths to correct an error is tops in my book. Of course the quality of their BABYLON 5, CONAN, and PARANOIA lines doesn't exactly hurt... ;)

Lets see:
