D&D 5E Things that probably won't happen, but man would it be cool if they did!

I want it. I would buy it. And I don't mean "I want it in a single tome".
I see it as a tool to play old 1-2-3-4e adventures.
1)The only important things would be:
- Every single monster ever created.
- creatures ordered by name.
2) some nice add-on would be
- Appendix with index of past adventures listing all creatures appearing in each one
- maybe collector binder format (I don't know if I explained myself well - sorry for my English - I mean like the one of 2e, where you could add "sheets" with new monsters)

I hate when I can't figure where monsters are (mm1 or fiend folio? No wait, it was in the eberron monster manual! Or it was some adventure appendix? Nevermind I will create my version of this creature)

I think an electronic version would be much more practical.

But I loved those encyclopedia magica they released at the end of 2e. A monster version would be so, so sweet.

I want a deep, well-thought-out prehistoric setting.

Also the normal boilerplate stuff about a D&D movie that doesn't suck, return of the print mags, re-emergence of TTRPGs as a mainstream hobby, etc.

I love my 2E Encyclopedia Magica books. They're largely irrelevant now (and highlighted some inconsistencies in pricing across the various sources), but they're probably the favourite books in my collection (along with my Dragon Magazine CD Archive).

I wish they would release books like them for 5e. Every magical item created for D&D, all updated for 5e.

Spells sorted by spell level first, then alphabetically.

I hate skipping through spell book back and forth to look up what 1st level spells do, to decide what spell I learn on level up or to reference them in game. With the new philosophy of not arbitrarily put the same spell on different levels for different character classes, this should be possible.

+1 million.

Plus it's harder to compare spells when trying to pick which if they're not by level.

At four monsters per page, you're looking at a book 15cm (6 inches) thick. If you wanted to dedicate a full page to each creature, your book would be about 60cm (24 inches) thick.

Onionskin paper is your friend. At 46 microns thickness, your 6000 monsters will produce a book 3.4cm thick at four per page.

I didn't realize they'd done this. Unfortunate, as having some caster classes able to cast their signature spells at lower levels always made sense to me.

Easy in theory to houserule back in, but a pain in the ass in practice.

Lan-"I hope this doesn't also mean all the other elements of ant given spell e.g. duration are the same for all classes too"-efan
