Fresh water inlets to keep the effluent moving.

Gas domes to vent the methane before it goes *BOOM!*

Blind albino sewer dire 'gators

Ancient tunnels now used as sewers that once were someting else (including basements and canals) hooded gondoliers poling their skiffs through the nightened deeps...

The Auld Grump, nightened used to be a real word, 'tain't used much these days...
 

Dungeon - Things to do in the sewers....?
Clean the tiolets from the inside.
Look for unused tp.
Don't swallow.
Blind albino banjo playing sewer dire alley gators
rats bats and oh my god it ate fred.
Schlock
prisoners on punishment duty
guards on punishment duty.
Shovelers

I´ve finally got around and made a city adventure. Right now I´m populating the sewers with all sorts of evil things. But Í need help to make up locals for them. So what places can You come up with..? Right now I have built some catacombs (of course since the city is built on top of a ancient Necropolis) sewer lines and a pumpstation but I need more. Much more. :)

You're making a city adventure .. with underground corridors and lairs filled with evil monsters? Nope, no dungeongs here, move along :p

You should have a couple of gas pockets in the sewers - open flame, *kaboom* ;)
 

having just spent $4500 on a new septic tank (there goes my trip to Gen Con this year) ...

i can tell you ...

the odor has got to be a factor.

make sure you use the trog stench or rules for nausea
 

as for monsters..

Huge Earthworms

carrion crawlers

oozes

green slime... yellow mold... russet mold... other hazards.. rot grubs

and otyugh and neo-otyugh
