Things we'd like to see in the new D&D movie

To be a D&D movie you don't need to include every D&D thing as a cameo. As an example the beholders in the first movie were there for no aparent reason. Pick a module/story and translate it to film. Only include the monsters and items needed for that module/story. When playing D&D I do not expect to encounter everything iconic from D&D. My characters have never encountered Mind Flayers, Beholders, Displacer Beasts, Owlbears, or Ettins; nor have they aquired Vorpal swords, Staffs of the Magi, or any part of Vecna. So pick an atagonist and surround him with believable minions and save the rest for the next movie. Which was better, the first batman movie where he dealt only with the Joker, or the last one where everyone good and bad was a part of the movie.

If Vin is in it he needs to be a extreme thrill chasing Drizzt and there needs to be a paragliding/bungijumping scene in the movie.
Haha! Vin Diesel as Artemis Entreri! Now that's some creative casting! :)

EDIT: Haha! I totally misinterpreted your post but like my interpretation better. ;)

The ranger in the movie was a half-elf, not a drow.

I just remember them going on and on about her being a elf. Of course I have spent months trying to blot the movie out of my mind, so maybe I just missed that.

Re

An actual plot.

Actors who actually want to be there.

Maybe a couple of accurate D&D references, just a couple would do.

No Wayans brothers

No nameless dwarfs who look like Joe Piscopo on a three day bender. Might we have a dwarf who actually doesn't seem like a last minute rewrite to the script. Maybe even multiple dwarves with actual personalites. I don't think wanting decent dwarfs is too much to ask for.

Somebody to point out that Dark Elves are the evil ones in D&D.

A written apology for the first movie and a promise that somebody on the set actually picked up a D&D book and flipped through it before they started filming this time.

Pretty much sums up what I would like to see as well.

What I like to see?

An actual dungeon for the adventuring party to go through.

I also like to see a familiar setting. Make it Greyhawk.

And please, have a good story direction, better scripted dialogue, and races galore.
