Third Edition Revised Covers??

Interesting. I have both the 1st printing of the 3.0 PHB in English as well as the later, revised edition (with some errata fixes and the different stuff in the back) of the 3.0 PHB in English here in front of me on my desk. Both covers look identical. They might have changed it for even later printings, though... I bought my revised 3.0 version before the price increase.

The DMG doesn't have the "revised edition" mention.

Weird. I also bought my core books before the price increase and in english, so I can't confirm with my own copies.

I'll check that next time I'm at the store (which should be pretty soon...)

Until Wizards produce the official cover images of the revised rulebooks, I'll take the above images with a grain of salt (which I'm supposed to avoid in my diet anyway).

How different though? If you change the font on the "Core Rulebook" phrase and put "Revised" beneath it, you do have a different cover. Not vastly different, but different.

I think they intend to make it distinctly noticeable. They don't want to cause confusion between the two. Amazon quite often has mockups that differ greatly from the final version, also.
