I read the thread, but keep myself from replying because a) I barely understand the mechanic in question and b) I don't know what YMMV means.

(Then I edit my post for incorrect punctuation. Which is funny, because I never made a post in the first place.... um.)

Castigates randomling for her lack of knowledge, but mysteriously fails to reveal what YMMV means himself, thus leading to speculation that despite all appearances, Tallarn is even more stupid than he seems.

Ignores everything Silver Moon has said, and claims that Britains were investigating said laws, causes, effects, doodads and thungummies before American was even a country, possibly showing up his ignorance of the people in question, who might be Austrian for all I know.

Goes into another long winded rant about Australians being confused with Austrians even though it probably has nothing to do with anything, and even though I am from neither place. Moves on to insult all people who disagree with me, and steals the DEAD WRONG tactic that was obviously mine in the first place.

Reminds alsih2o that he should at least try to remain on-topic, and warns him in stern tones that deviation from this vital discussion will result in a report to the moderators, thus showing incredible hypocrisy being as this entire thread is nothing but a second gigantic flame war in the making.

I counter any origional statement made, and the counter a few subpoints. Reading this thread for extended periods of time causes me to spaz out, and I pound the keyboard, and then go limp, like this:

Points out that if Tallarn had been observant he would have seen that both Mertin and Silver Moon were both clearly identified as being Americans. Mentions that Sigmund Freud, Franz Joseph Haydn and Hedy Lamarr were all famous Austrians. Comments that nobody famous ever came from Australia. Knows that is not true, but wants to prompt MerricB into joining the thread.

Points out that YMMV means either "Your Mileage May Vary", "Yummy Mountains of Marshmellow & Vanilla", or "Yuan-Ti, Morkoth, Margoyles & Vampires".

Reminds Tallarn that he has yet to point out one good reason why Baraendur is incorrect, and asks him to stop dragging jdavis into this, as he hasn't even posted to this thread yet.

Tells Randomling of enjoying her internet site.

Looks at the above and concludes that promise about not starting side discussions until page two of this thread has clearly been broken, but chooses to ignore it.

Points out that he is a moderator on said forum, and that Silver Moon better not try anything funny in the Surrealism forum or else there will be bananas. Laughs at own wit.

Calls him on it, laughing and pointing all the while. Inadvertently sounds like that kid from the Simson who says 'Ha Ha!' in a whiny voice. Mentions that Harry Shearer, who does voices for the Simsons, is also a member of Spinal Tap, who apparently toured the world recently. Fondly remembers gig in Brighton, at which The Mighty Tap were entirely absent.
